A page has a draft for staff and a published version for visitors. Create the draft first, then publish it when it is ready.

Create a page

  1. In your organization's workspace, open Pages under Website.
  2. Select New Page.
  3. Enter the Title. Leave Address empty for the home page. For another page, use lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens.
  4. Choose Main menu, Footer, or Not linked under Navigation. Set Order if the page needs a specific position.
  5. Select Create Page.

Trackside opens the page editor. The new page is a draft. Visitors cannot read it until you publish it.

Edit and preview the draft

Select a field label to move focus to its text box, menu, or slider.

Use Add Block to add content at the end. Use Add above or Add below in a block's actions menu to insert elsewhere. Select Edit to open its form, then Save Block to save the draft. Select Cancel to discard the form changes. Use Remove to remove a block. The arrow buttons and Move to… change its position and save the draft.

The Preview beside the editor shows the saved draft. It updates after you save a change, not while you type in a block form. On narrow screens, use Editor and Preview to switch panes without losing form values. Select Desktop or Phone to check both preview widths. Use View on Site to open the page in a new tab.

The preview keeps your site's header and footer but leaves out the "powered by LapBrain" line. The full site keeps that line.

In Page Details, set the page title, search title, search description, and social image. For Social image, select Choose Image. A wide image of 1200 × 630 px suits link previews. Select Save Details to save these values to the draft. The search fields are optional. Trackside adds your organization name after the search title, so do not type the name there.

Publish or undo a page

Select Publish when the preview is ready. Visitors then see that version. Later edits stay in the draft until you publish again.

Trackside shows Publishing…, then Page published. after a successful publication. Select View page to open it. If publication fails, your draft stays saved. Read the error and select Publish to try again. Publishing a page does not change your site's status.

Revert to Previous puts the last published version back on the site. It also replaces the draft, so save any text you need before you confirm. Unpublish removes a page from the public site. The home page shows a placeholder if it is unpublished. Delete Page removes the page and its saved versions; the confirmation warns that this cannot be undone.
